What is continuous monitoring?
If you’re new to the practice of continuous monitoring you might not know what it involves. Continuous ground gas monitoring provides a thorough understanding of ground gas risks. At GGS we have been developing the equipment that we use on site do to this, including the Gas Sentinel® which is our own innovative technology that measures gas readings using boreholes on site.
By using the GasSentinel, gas is measured over a set period of time at regular intervals, capturing important changes in the gas regime at a site. The recorded time-series data captures the full variability of ground gas concentrations and the data can be accessed and viewed remotely.
Where continuous monitoring started
GGS are the original continuous ground gas monitoring specialists. We pioneered an innovative solution over sixteen years ago using technology to capture high-quality data. We started with our first fleet of ten GasClams in 2009, to provide reliable monitoring data to reduce uncertainty. Now we use more advanced technology in our growing fleet of Gas Sentinels® to measure ground gases.
We pioneered an approach that is now considered the industry standard when it comes to measuring and assessing ground gas risk. Even after 16 years in business, we are always looking to innovate and develop our technology to advance ground gas science and improve continuous monitoring approaches. Our principle has always been to provide ground gas data that can be relied upon and that reduces delays and costs to our clients.
